GENERAL INFORMATION OF TAOLU

1. DATE AND PLACE
    The Wushu Tournament Beijing 2008 will be held from August 21 to 24, 2008 in Beijing, China.

2. VENUES
    a. Competition venue – Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium
    b. Training venue – Training Hall of Chinese Wushu Association

3. COMPETITION EVENTS
    Men’s Events: Changquan, Nanquan & Nangun all-round, Taijiquan & Taijijian all-round, Daoshu & Gunshu all-round, Jianshu & Qiangshu all-round
    Women’s Events: Changquan, Nanquan & Nandao all-round, Taijiquan & Taijijian all-round, Daoshu & Gunshu all-round, Jianshu & Qiangshu all-round

4. QUALIFICATIONS
    a. The top placed 6 athletes for the taolu competition events of the Wushu Tournament Beijing 2008 in the 9th World Wushu Championships in 2007.
    b. The athletes who have acquired wild cards permitted by the IWUF
    c. The Chinese athletes who are from the host country (must have participated in the 9th World Wushu Championships) may participate in the competition directly.
    d. Each participating association may send at most eight (8) athletes for both taolu and sanshou for the Tournament
    e. Each country or region may enter one (1) athlete in the same event.
    f. Each athlete may enter one (1) event.

5. COMPETITION METHODS
    a. The competition shall be individual competition.
    b. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Rules for International Wushu Taolu Competition endorsed by the IWUF.
    c. The regulations of International Wushu Federation shall be implemented during the Tournament.
        1. Changquan, Nanquan and Taijiquan will be implemented according to optional routine of the competition rules.
            ① The athletes can choose the degree of difficulty of movements of categories A and B. If they choose the degree of difficulty of movements of category C, the value will be awarded according to the value of degree of difficulty of movements of category B.
           ② At the same category of degree of difficulty, the movement with the same degree of difficulty can be done two times at most, but the movement with degree of difficulty of connecting movements cannot be repeated.
        2. Daoshu, Jianshu, Nandao, Taijijian, Gunshu, Qiangshu, and Nangun
The Scoring Criteria for Non-Degree of Difficulty of Movements will be implemented.
        3. The athletes should complete the movements of the optional routines required by the rules.
        4.  Music shall be accompanied to Taijiquan and Taijijian. 0.2 point will be deducted if there is no music (Lyric is not permitted.) accompanied to the said routines.
    d. The Registration Form for Degree of Difficulty for Optional Routines (Changquan, Nanquan and Taijiquan) and Registration Form for Compulsory Movements in Taolu shall be submitted to the IWUF Secretariat before 24:00 hrs (Beijing Time) on June 21, 2008.
   e.  Each competitor should bring along with a Health Certificate (including electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued at least 30 days before the competitions, a Life Insurance Certificate and a Waiver of Liabilities.
    f. The power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF. In the event of disagreement in the interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail.

6. COSTUMES AND EQUIPMENT
    a. Competitors shall wear Wushu competition costumes in compliance with the Rules during all the
competitions.
    b. All the equipment of competition and training areas shall be in compliance with the Competition Rules.
    c. Competitors shall bring with them competition apparatus in compliance with the Competition Rules.

7. REGISTRATION
    a. The judges are required to register in Beijing on August 18, 2008.
    b. The athletes are required to register in Beijing on August 18, 2008.

8. PLACING AND AWARDS
    1st place                                   Gold Medal & Certificate
    2nd place                                  Silver Medal & Certificate
    3rd place                                   Bronze Medal & Certificate

9. TECHNICAL MEETING
    The Technical Meeting for team managers and coaches will take place at 9:00 am on August 20, 2008. The meeting will announce the matters related to the competitions. Each team should send one representative to attend the meeting. 
    
10. DRAWING – LOTS CEREMONY
    The drawing-lots will be conducted by the IWUF Technical Committee at 10:00 am on August 20, 2008. Each team may send one representative to attend the ceremony. The IWUF Technical Committee will draw lots on behalf of the teams that are unable to send a representative.

11. OTHER MATTERS
    a. The participating teams should strictly observe the regulations and rules of the competition and compete fairly.
    b. Violators shall be dealt with seriously in accordance with the IWUF regulations.
    c. According to the Regulations, the participating athletes and team officials should leave the hotel before 12:00 am on August 25, 2008. The related teams shall be responsible for the expenses if they leave the hotel later than this time. 

GENERAL INFORMATION OF SANSHOU

1. DATE AND PLACE
    The Wushu Tournament Beijing 2008 will be held from August 21 to 24, 2008 in Beijing, China.

2. VENUES
    c. Competition venue – Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium
    d. Training venue – Training Hall of Chinese Wushu Association

3. COMPETITION EVENTS
    Men’s Events: 56kg, 70kg, 85kg
    Women’s Events: 52kg, 60kg

4. QUALIFICATIONS
    a. The top placed eight (8) athletes for the sanshou competition events of the Wushu Tournament Beijing 2008 in the 9th World Wushu Championships in 2007.
    b. The Chinese athletes who are from the host country (must have participated in the 9th World Wushu Championships) may participate in the competition directly.
    c. If any top placed eight (8) athletes are unable to participate in the competition due to injury or illness, his/her vacancy cannot be filled.

5. COMPETITION METHODS
    a. The knock out system will be adopted.
    b. After register, the athletes shall weigh-in and then draw-lots.
   c. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the Rules for International Wushu Sanshou Competition endorsed by the IWUF.
   d. Each competitor should bring along with a Health Certificate (including electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued at least 20 days before the competitions, a Life Insurance Certificate and a Waiver of Liabilities. The competitor will not be allowed to participate in the competition if he/she cannot present all the three certificates.
    e. The judges shall be selected by the Beijing Organizing Committee. Application for team judges will not accepted.
    f. The power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF. In the event of disagreement in the interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail.

6. COSTUMES AND EQUIPMENT
    a. Competitors shall wear Wushu competition costumes in compliance with the Rules during all the competitions.
    b. Each competitor must possess two (2) sets of costumes: one set of black and one set of red costumes. Gum – shield and jockstrap must be provided by the competitors themselves.
    c. Gloves and protective equipment will be provided by the Organizing Committee.

7. REGISTRATION
    c. The judges are required to register in Beijing on August 18, 2008.
    d. The athletes are required to register in Beijing on August 18, 2008.

8. PLACING AND AWARDS

北京2008武术比赛套路竞赛规程

一、竞赛日期与地点
     北京2008武术比赛于2008年8月21日至24日在中国北京举行。

二、场地
(一)比赛场地：奥林匹克体育中心体育馆
(二)训练场地：中国武术协会训练馆

三、竞赛项目
男子:     长拳      南拳南棍全能     太极拳太极剑全能  
            刀术棍术全能  剑术枪术全能
女子:     长拳      南拳南刀全能     太极拳太极剑全能  
            刀术棍术全能  剑术枪术全能 

四、参赛资格与办法
（一）在2007年第九届世界武术锦标赛中获得北京2008武术比赛所设项目的各项目前6名的运动员
（二）获得国际武术联合会批准的外卡资格的运动员
（三）作为东道主的中国运动员（必须参加2007年第九届世界武术锦标赛）可按照竞赛规程的规定直接参赛。
（四）每个协会套路和散手最多8名运动员参赛
（五）每个协会在同一项目中只能有1人参加
（六）每名运动员只能参加1个项目的比赛

五、竞赛办法
（一）比赛为个人赛。
（二）比赛采用国际武术联合会审定的《国际武术套路竞赛规则》。
（三）比赛执行国际武术联合会对本次比赛的有关规定。
         1、长拳、南拳、太极拳
              按规则中“自选项目”的评分方法与标准执行。
              （1）申报自选套路难度时，可选做A级和B级动作难度，如选做C级动作难度，也只按B级动作难度分值加分。
              （2）在同一难度级别中，最多允许选做2次同一难度动作，但连接难度动作不得重复。
         2、刀术、剑术、南刀、太极剑、棍术、枪术、南棍
按规则中“无难度评判的规定项目和自选项目”的评分方法与标准执行。
         3、运动员必须完成规则对各自选套路内容所规定的动作。
         4、太极拳和太极剑项目必须配乐，未配乐或配乐带有说唱者，在完成该项目的最后得分中扣0.2分。
（四）于2008年6月21日24：00（北京时间）前，将长拳、南拳、太极拳“自选套路难度等级及评分表”和所有参赛项目的“套路必选动作申报表 ”报国际武联秘书处 。
（五）报到时需携带运动员在赛前30天内的体检证明（包括心电图、血压和脉搏）和人身保险证明和责任声明书。
（六）竞赛规则的解释权属于国际武术联合会。对竞赛规则的解释有争议时，则以中文版为准。

六、服装与器材
（一） 运动员须穿着规则规定的武术套路比赛服装参加比赛。
（二）所有的比赛、训练场地的器材设备须符合竞赛规则的要求。
（三）运动员需自备符合竞赛规则要求的比赛器械。

七、报到
（一）裁判员于2008年８月１８日到北京报到。
（二）运动员于2008年８月１８日到北京报到。

八、录取名次与奖励办法
第一名：金牌和证书
第二名：银牌和证书
